my father made this model sailboat in his teen years, and it sits in our rec room to this day. he says it took him a long time to make, and i believe it, judging by the amount of detail it has. so naturally i was terrified when i decided i wanted to try to incorporate it into a photo idea. it made it through the entire experience without a scratch, thankfully.
